SO HOW DOES THIS WORK?

I provide full service interior design consultation. What this typicaly looks like is, we first set up an initial interview to go over your basic needs and interests. I then put together a schematic design based on the program and budget that you provided. These may range from vibe image boards,  simple sketches, to budget spreadsheets. From there, the design intention gets developed and evolved as we work together to reach a harmonious solution. Construction documents will be drafted as required and items will be procured as scheduled. Depending on the needs of the project, I may also oversee the construction phase through completion.

 

DO YOU DO ONE TIME CONSULTATIONS?

I sure do! I find that many clients already have a good idea of what they would like done with their space and only need a professional's opinion on how to proceed. Often times a client is just not sure they need to hire a designer and would like a smaller commitment. A one time consultation is a great solution to this, as it allows for the client to work within their comfort zone and go from there.

 

I JUST NEED HELP WITH PICKING OUT PAINT COLORS/FURNITURE ARRANGEMENT. CAN YOU HELP ME WITH THAT?

I AM THINKING ABOUT RENOVATING MY HOME DOWN TO THE STUDS. WHEN SHOULD I BRING IN A DESIGNER?

As soon as possible. Hiring a designer from the onset is your best bet of getting a floorplan that works seemlessly with the structure, furniture layout, and materials of the space. A considered home is one that addresses all physical and practical aspects of the space with the desired aesthetics. Looking at all these elements from the beginning will yield the most integrated result.

 

WHAT KINDS OF SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?

I like to keep things interesting by working on a variety of projects from small scale boutique retail spaces and diners, to designing a nursery for the new baby's arrival . Everything else in between includes kitchen and bathroom renovations, whole house furniture selection and layout, and styling a vacant home for sale. No matter how large or small your project is, I'd be happy to help.

 

WILL YOU WORK WITH MY CONTRACTOR?

Yes. Although I do not perfom or subcontract out any construction work myself, I will work closely with your chosen contractor to ensure that our agreed upon design intention is carried out through every detail.

 

WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT POLICIES?

I charge an hourly rate, plus a 10% markup on all purchases from net pricing (wholesale price + 10%). Generally, clients will save money on furniture, fixtures and accessories procured this way.
